ºÚÁÏ´óÊ is embarking on a national search for its 27th president. With the planned retirement of President Al Miciak at the end of the 2025–26 academic year, we are committed to finding a leader who will build upon our mission, momentum, and vision for the future.
Dr. Miciak’s tenure has been marked by transformational change, including the launch of the Inspired Futures strategy and key investments in academics and student success. As we look ahead, the Board of Directors, in partnership with WittKieffer, will lead a comprehensive and inclusive search process.
The Leadership Profile defines the expectations and opportunities for JCU’s next president, informed by listening sessions and community feedback. It reflects the community’s hopes for a leader who will continue to advance the university’s mission, promote academic excellence, and foster a vibrant campus culture.
